On July 1st, 2022, Dr. Matthew J. Ramsey became Target’s fourth President & CEO. In addition to leading the agency, he is the Laurence J. Adams Endowed Chair at McDaniel College and coordinates the master’s degree program in Human Services Management that is the core of Target’s residential program. Before joining Target and McDaniel College, Ramsey spent fifteen years in academic and leadership roles at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

Matt has two children, Henry and Olivia. Henry is in the workforce, and Olivia will be a freshman at St. Louis University in the fall of 2022. He enjoys live music, playing disc golf, cooking, and traveling. Kansas has been his lifelong home, but he’s ready to fly the Maryland state flag proudly.
