Good employees are hard to find, but at Target we have a unique hiring advantage. A significant portion of our management team came up through the ranks, starting as graduate students at McDaniel College.
Target has an innovative partnership with McDaniel to provide a Master’s Degree in Human Services Management. While students are completing this two-year program, they work at Target as live-in Community Living Managers, providing care for our clients in one of our eight community-based homes or in Target’s Apartment Program in Montgomery County.
During this internship, students receive a scholarship for 75% of their graduate tuition, a generous stipend, health benefits, and room and board. When they graduate, these individuals are prepared for leadership positions in community-based human services agencies. In other words, they are perfectly trained for management roles at Target!
