Autism Waiver Service Coordination Program

Target Community & Educational Services, Inc. partners with the Carroll County Public Schools to provide service coordination for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families under the auspices of Maryland’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Maryland State Department of Education through the Autism Waiver. Autism Waiver Service Coordination is intended to assist a participant in gaining access to various program services that have been approved in the waiver participant's plan of care, and is a member of a multidisciplinary team that performs each child’s initial assessment and works with the team to develop the child’s individual plan of care.


Program’s Goal:


  • Community and personal rehabilitative and supportive services formulated based on each child’s specific individual needs.

  • Children who recieved Autism Waiver Service Coordination are expected to remain in their homes and be integrated successfully into their communities.

  • Overall improvement of quality of life for these children and their families.Provide professional assessments, individualized plans and coordination of services for families and children with ASD.
